Stephen's game / Chatard v. Scecina

Stephen DeSchryver plays freshman football at Chatard. Kelly emailed out a copy of his football schedule and many of us were able to see him play. Joe took Matthew and Andrew to the Roncalli game. We (the Paynter's) were able to attend the Scecina game. It was so much fun. We got to see Johnny Riley "at work" as we hung out with him before the game.

Bobby Joe, Rae, Kelly, Bob, Charlie, Aunt Jeanne and Ward were all there too. It was a great time!

Maria loved wearing Bobby Joe's hat.

Stephen practicing some throws.

Maria found a new style for Aunt Jeanne's hat. She just adored Charlie!

Meal Discussions

We are looking for some suggestions or input on meals for next year.

This year, as always, the kitchen for Saturday night dinner was crazy hot because we had the ovens and stove top going with heating the sauce for spaghetti and toasting the bread. It also seemed the people took rather small portions of the hot food.

There were tons of compliments on the green bean salad and the tossed salad, and they were eaten well. We are looking for meal ideas that would possibly increase the number of cold salads and cold food and decrease the amount of heat necessary in the kitchen.

One suggestion made was to do a variety of cold salads (3 or 4) and hamburgers for those who need protein and some hot food. This would require only the griddle to be used.

Anyhow, give us some input, and no one says that we have to make a change. If everyone is happy with the spaghetti dinner then we can keep doing that. Let us know what you think!

Please add your comments/suggestions. (Click on "comments" just below and chose "Anonymous", but be sure to sign your name to the comment.)
